Platform/System Design Director

Position Description:
 
This position will be responsible for leading an engineering team to design and manufacture SDP (Server Development Platform) and REP (Reference Evaluation Platform) with Huaxintong’s ARM based processor targeting data center server market. The engineer will work in Huaxintong Software & System Group in Shanghai or Beijing. The director will report to VP for Software and System of Huaxintong.
 
Main Responsibility:
 
- Lead an engineering team to develop SDP and REP with Qualcomm and Huaxintong’s ARM based processors. Drive the team to develop Linux device driver and port Linux OS to Huaxintong’s processor.
- Lead the team to design block diagram, schematics and PCB layout, then verify and debug the board. Manage BOM.
- Set up the process to work with 3rd party and IDH on board manufacturing and board production.
- Manage the platform/board shipping process.
- Develop the engineering team to become Huaxintong COE of hardware board and platform design.
 
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering team management experience including people management, resource management and project management.
- Minimum of 10 years’ hardware board design and development.
- Strong knowledge in high-speed analog/digital modelling, circuit design, PCB layout and simulation.
- Experience in server based digital circuit design. Strong technology on digital interfaces such as DDR, Flash, PCIe, SATA etc. Experienced in schematics and PCB design tools.
- Rich Experience on working with board manufacturing partners in mainland China.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork adaptability, good oral and written English skills, self-motivated.
 
Education Requirement:
 
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree from China top universities with major on Computer Science, EE or Automation etc
