Staff Applications Engineer-Software

Job Responsibilities
1. Work with ARM Systems and Software design teams to gain in-depth knowledge of our ARM Architecture, CPU and systems IPs, ARM Linux kernel and big.LITTLE™ technologies and tools to support debugging and optimization   
2. Provide feedback to the design teams on potential product improvements & enhancements
3. Participate in system software design projects and enablement activities which includes big.LITTLE HMP, thermal management,      energy aware scheduler, trusted firmware and system power management
4. Work with our Partner Enablement Group to ensure that quality support and training is being deployed to the satisfaction of our lead      partners
5. Prepare and maintain material for lead partner support including training materials, white papers and application notes
6. Work directly with lead partners delivering training, support and hands-on system design assistance to ensure that their goals are achieved.

Job Requirements
1. Above 10 years of software development experience including experience on ARMv7-A and ARMv8-A based platforms
2. Have rich knowledge on system benchmarks and system level performance analysis, for example memory system performance analysis
3. Have strong experience in Linux/ Android system hang issues debug
4. Have strong experience in platform bring up and porting
5. Understanding of ARM Trusted Firmware and Secure technology
6. Understanding of power management systems, Linux scheduler, CPU idle / CPU freq / CPU hotplug framework and thermal management
7. Strong Python programming skill
8. Experience of working closely with customers, providing technical support and training
9. Ability to think under pressure, especially in front of customers and to provide logical and accurate problem analysis
10. Good spoken and written English
