The Market Sector Team (MST) Portable Power Solutions develops, produces and sells advanced, highly integrated CMOS system Power Management Units (PMU) and Analog Base Band (ABB) for Mobile & Personal. These are part of the Nexperia Cellular System Solutions and Nexperia Media Player Solutions. Our main customers are Apple (iPod), Samsung and Sony Ericsson (both for GPRS/EDGE cellular phones). The MST has its operations in Nijmegen (Netherlands), Shanghai (China) and Calamba (Filipines). It currently employs around 150 persons.
As we have an increasing number of successful products in the mobile market we are looking for an experienced IC Architect in the IC development area.    
Job Description   
As Architect you are responsible for the IC architecture, the technical product specification and the technical execution within analog / mixed signal projects. You are the technical partner of the project leader. On the basis of a functional requirement specification, you will create/maintain the IC architecture and divide this into sub-system and interface specifications. During execution you will guide the development engineers in the design and validation phase. By means of planned reviews you ensure — from technical point of view — that the efforts of the individual developers remain focused on properly functioning subsystems. Up to production you will determine technical risks, define corrective actions and align these with our customers.
The projects have an average budget between 1-5 Meuro and have a duration of 12-18 months.
Requirements •      BSc-E or MSc-E.
• At least 5 years experience in the development of analog/mixed signal ICs, preferably 3 years as architect in IC development projects.
• Focus on and experience in bringing IC development projects towards production.
• Specific knowledge of the relevant technical areas.
• Creative thinker with helicopter view, capable of finding an appropriate solution to complex problems.
• Good social skills, improvement attitude, able to convey enthusiasm.
• Able to establish good relationships with a multi-disciplinary development team, international customers and subcontractors.
• Fluent in English
