A.Main Purpose of the Role
Support PM on Product strategy / Innovation
Applications Investigation / Identify application trends
Customer Support to understand customer requirements and solve complicated issues
Provide technical training to regional GSM colleagues, distributors, and customers
B.Key Areas of Accountability:
1. Support Product Marketing on product strategy and innovation
Technical support on competition products benchmarking to understand the technology and packages trend and benefits
Application benchmarking to understand products performance impact on applications to provide input to product marketing and R&D colleagues
Define together with product marketing on application layer for new product ideas
Development support. Provide timely & concise reporting to the development team on the agreed application tests at each stage of the product release process
2. Applications Investigation / Identify application trends
Identify product trends in specific application markets (e.g. Power Supply)
Compile knowledge & insight gained through customer contacts, lab work & competitor benchmarking to propose new application ideas that lead to improved performance, lower cost or greater ease-of-use for our customers
3. Customer support
Provide support to PL focus customer projects to help solve complicated issues
Responsible for support on technical questions from customers, sales and AE organizations
Provide regular technical trainings to key customers in new application, new products and thrust products.
4. Provide technical trainings
Responsible on technical documents, application notes, demo boards creation
Responsible on products cross reference against competition
Responsible for technical trainings to sales and marketing colleagues and PAE / FAE, distributor sales/FAE in a regular time scale by on-site or webinars.

Desire to build a technical career in Power supply application and related areas
Detailed understanding on electronic circuits and discrete semiconductors
Debugger and analysis skills, documentation and reporting skills
Application design experiences in Power supply application are preferred

F. Additional Information:
The Application Engineer is a highly technical related role, requiring the jobholder to have a very good educational and employment background in electrical engineering and electronics industry, Additionally the jobholder must also be able to work effectively in a team, obtaining services and pursuing priorities through peers who are not his/her subordinates and who may be part of a different organization. He/she must also have a keen sense of market awareness.
Experience: 3 years working experience in technical support/ development, preferable in Power Semiconductors applications
Education: Bachelor or above (Master is preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt background is preferred.
The job holder must be willing to travel.
