Position Description
Reporting to: CEO|Assistant|People Management Responsibility: Yes |Travel Required: Yes |Shift Required: No
Responsibilities
1. Procurement of technical goods and services including hardware & software, computer peripherals & accessories, telecommunications equipment etc. for the company
2. Prepare purchase orders to insure prompt delivery and installation
3. Solicit bids from vendors; analyze bid proposals and award bids to qualified vendors
4. Sourcing and researching product specifications and alternatives
5. Product returns, invoice discrepancy resolutions
6. Unassisted development, management & review of key contracting services including vendor research, contract preparation & completion
7. Unassisted execution of key source management services including quarterly vendor reviews, vendor summits and contract dispute management
8. Unassisted development & management of key strategic services including pricing strategies, vendor consolidation & leveraging strategies, insource / outsource strategies, and process design
9. Will manage all purchasing activities of the plant as specified by the supervisor
10. Responsible for managing the purchasing staff
11. Analyze indirect spend and trends to identify further opportunities to centralize indirect expenditure
12. Ensure all working procedures is aligned and in compliance with the corporation goals and directives
13. Identify potential suppliers within the entire procurement system
14. Negotiating with vendors regarding price, volume discount, and back-up inventory
15. Responsible for obtaining the lowest price available while assuring that quality is of the highest standard
16. Other tasks assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Education:
B.S. degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
Working Experience:
Proven working experience as a procurement manager, knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
Technical and professional knowledge:
1. Maintain the highest ethical standards at all times.
2. Ability to quickly analyze complex situations and determine the best solution for organization.
3. Ability to possess exceptional mathematical and critical thinking skills.
4. Talent in negotiations and networking
5. Good knowledge of supplier or t
6. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers, experience in collecting and analyzing data
7. Excellent communication abilities
8. Excellent Mandarin and English language skills.
