Synopsys Processor AE ( Pre-sale)

A Field Applications Engineer (AE) is the technical business driver responsible for providing pre-sales technical support for Synopsys' DesignWare processor product line (ARC processors, ASIP tools and subsystems) in the China region.
 
A AE’s responsibilities primarily include:
1) Providing direct technical customer support for Synopsys’ processor products to persuade customers to adopt Synopsys processor solutions.
 
2) Working with the sales team to manage the processor IP/ASIP tools activities in the region to achieve a high customer satisfaction rate and for building strong customer relationships
 
3) Providing customer feedback on new/existing requirements for DW processor usage from DW processor customers to Synopsys
4) Providing direct technical customer support and assistance to enable customers to successfully use DW processor IP and ASIP tools
A AE manages the DW processor pre-sales technical support needs and requirements for customers and for prospective customers. This role requires a AE to work across the business unit to provide high quality support to the customers. A AE may write application notes, attend technical conferences, review projects and specifications. A AE provides technical guidance and support to the sales team during calls, meetings, and marketing events.

Job Requirements: 
Qualified applicants will have a BSEE, MSEE preferred, 5+ years relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA designs with working knowledge of SoC architecture. Good understanding of processor architectures for RISC and DSP processors. Hands on experience for programming in assembly or C/C++ language and using SW development tools. Experience working on embedded system design, debug or FW/SW development. Experience in DSP algorithm development or DSP programming is a plus. Experience in architecture design for embedded system is a plus. Good written and verbal communication skills and be able to self-managing and ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks. Ability to conduct technical meetings, presentations, seminars, product demonstrations, and training to customers and to the sales team is required. Travel (up to 30%) within the China region may be required.
