Firmware Engineer

Calterah Semiconductor is a fabless chip maker focusing on mmWave chip development. Our vision is to deliver high-quality-and-low-cost mmWave radar sensor chip for future driving system with application in ADAS and autopilot. We are leaders in technology with world-first massive production of 77GHz mmWave transceiver chip. However, we believe we are just getting started.   
Our core tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of future autonomous vehicles. Projects involve working on new/novel radar sensor architectures, advanced tracking/data fusion algorithm, and real-time OS. The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge and product-proven software design/verification experience of embedded system to ensure high quality first silicon and system success.
This role primarily involves working on embedded software developing but the engineer will also work closely with digital/system engineers performing in depth analysis/evaluation of software, analog, digital architectural partitioning trade-offs and other variable sensor system related factors. Exercising good judgement in selecting methodologies, techniques and evaluation criteria is necessary for obtaining meaningful/sensible results.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields.
•    5+ years of experience with C programming.
•    Experience with all phases of embedded firmware development in platform independent environments
•    Software development methodologies and quality control processes.
•    Hands on experience with various MCU cores and peripherals.
•    Debug skills with tools such as JTAG/serial debugger, protocol analyzer and oscilloscopes.
•    Capable of working on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
•    Ability to write detailed and clear microarchitecture documentation
•    Ability to write detailed and clear verification plan documentation
Additional desirable skills include:
•    Basic knowledge of various RF technologies and profiles
•    Basic knowledge of digital processing
•    Scripting languages and for test automation (Perl, Python or similar)
•    Familiar with ARC processor architecture
