Application Engineer - Hardware

Position Description:
This position will be responsible for providing technical support to key customers on software and system with ARMv8 based processor targeting data center server market in order to get the design in and design win.


Main Responsibility:
- Provide technical support on system perspective to HXT ARMv8 based processor and platforms.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support on hardware platform to customers.
- Support the design in and design win activities.
- Responsible for providing the hardware technical support for HXT chips to customers, from schematics, PCB to mass product. Including schematics review, PCB review, board bring up etc. technical support.
- Responsible for providing the key circuit design guideline to customers, such as DDR, PCIe high speed circuit design.
- Responsible for providing the PI/SI and thermal design technical support.
- Contribute to the development of reference design or PoC (proof of concept) demo to support pre-sale events or technical roadshow.
- Work closely with R&D team to publish documentation on HXT products of all system release.
- Travel to customer sites is required

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
- Hardware board design experience, schematics and PCB.
- Board bring up and debug experience
- High speed circuit design experience, such as DDR, PCIe
- Experience of any the following processors architecture: ARM, x86, PowerPC or MIPS.
- PI/SI design experience is plus.
- Customer support experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, good teamwork, good oral and written English skill. Self motivated.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor degree with Computer Science, EE or Automation etc.
