Role & Responsibilities:
System Architect driving architecture of RTG roadmap products to deliver on the product requirements, including the Performance/Power/Schedule/Cost /Bounding Box. Develops product Use Cases and the Product Requirement Spec.
‒ Primary technical contact point for the program
‒ Responsible for the product features and capabilities
‒ Comprehends the SOC as a complete system which includes HW (silicon), FW, BIOS & SW
‒ Ensures that FW, BIOS & SW are aligned to enable features
‒ Knowledgeable and contributes to the platform architecture.
‒ Ensures that the required Use Cases are achieved
‒ Responsible for any marketing change requests or any changes to the requirements to be negotiated between the BU and the design team to reach a solution that both sides agree.
‒ Responsible for technical accuracy of product disclosures
‒ Responsible to quantify impact of bugs and feature / performance goals.
‒ Is not expected to be the expert in all areas, but is tightly linked to the other architects for the program.
Skills and Experience:
Advanced degree in computer/electrical engineering (i.e. Masters)
Minimum 10 years' progressive related experience plus:
- Very knowledgeable on the x86 platform architecture is a plus
- Strong familiarity with graphics architecture is a plus
- Familiar with the interface industry standards specifications is a plus
- Understand silicon process technologies and the tools to project power & performance of the SOC
