HMI Segment Hardware Developer

Job description:

• Develop hardware reference designs that implement cutting-edge Human Machine Interface solutions 
• Define and capture system and application requirements and translate them into engineering requirements
• Capture and maintain the system schematic, block diagram, layout, and interconnect plan 
• Perform prototype bring-up and debugging, testing, and systems support
• Support OEM customers to develop consumer or industrial products via hardware integration of components and reference design
• Design with sensors, sensor fusion, RF, and selecting appropriate processor and system components
• Architect hardware system and partition blocks as needed 
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop digital and analog circuits that will be integrated into the system
• Understand system solution design and tradeoffs and make the appropriate recommendations for system topology and product selection for successful platforms

• Degree (BS/Master/PhD) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years overall relevant experience with designing and developing embedded systems
• Strong working knowledge various sensor technologies such as ultrasonic, passive infrared, camera/video, and environmental sensors
• Great EE fundamentals including PCB design and embedded system experience
• Experience in conducting hands-on lab work for testing and debugging
• Experience in circuit design, PCB design, and system simulation
• Experience with power delivery, signal integrity, and interconnect
• Fast learner, capable to quickly understand complex situations/problems and strong quantitative analysis skills
• Ability to think and act strategically and operationally with minimal direction
• Excellent Superior written, verbal, and visual communication skills
• Ability to work in a team, receiving direction and inputs and contributing guidance to other members as needed
• Self-starter and good project management skills and motivated to initiate and drive projects to completion
