Application Engineering Sr Manager

Responsibility:

• Manage a cross-functional team, executing to an agreed upon platform development roadmap
• Build cooperative relationships with Global Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Operations, Business Units, and other product divisions
• Build a strong organization of fully competent and cross functional engineers
• Lead, manage, and develop team members
• Provide support, guidance and training to expand roles and responsibilities, as appropriate, of team
• Professionally and effectively communicate across all management and employee levels
• New Platform Development
• Create a resource plan and deployment schedule that aligns with the development roadmap
• Manage the design teams, remove obstacles, manage required resources and execute to the agreed upon delivery schedule
• Coordinate with the Software Director on needed resources and alignment to launch platform
• Collaborate with Corporate Marketing in creating marketing collateral, such as videos, blogs, press releases, training material, etc. required for a platform launch o Prepare and present monthly updates on execution to schedule
• Manage the life-cycle and revisions of individual platforms
• Experience in product management, strategic business planning, and new product development o Knowledge of the following market segments, including familiarity with relevant applications and key customers: Automotive, IoT, Motor Drives and Industrial Power
• Proven success in new product development, and product & technology management
• Proven experience working with customers on design, business strategy, and product road-maps

• BS + minimum of 10 yrs of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have product management background and experience collaborating with a team of product and application professionals
• Must demonstrate good business sense, critical thinking skills, outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to succeed
• Candidate is expected to support and/or present at various meetings, trainings and trade events, therefore candidate must have strong communication skills
• 10% travel required
